Another wedding to post to the blog! This is Misty and Robert’s wedding from May 15th. They also chose a hot pink and aqua color scheme and again it was a beautiful day on the beach! It was a little breezy and cool but the sun was shining and Misty and Robert were so much fun I did not even notice the coolness of the breeze. Their little girl was truly a little doll—she had the prettiest smile! Congratulations to the lovely couple and I hope you enjoy the photos!
Yes, it was a surprise. Yes, Chris planned the photo session by himself. Yes, Cortney had no idea. And yes, I did cry as I was taking the photos when he proposed. What was so cute was how Cortney looked at Chris when he took her by the hands and started talking to her. You could see that she was completely confused! Then she started smiling, then crying and when he dropped to one knee, she just seemed in shock. She hugged him and hugged him and this was before Chris even put the ring on her finger! It was seriously one of the sweetest things I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. So, congratulations Chris and Cortney. I wish you both a lifetime of love and joy as you begin planning the rest of your life together!
My nephew Matthew is graduating from Mosely High School this month. Of course, we are all very proud of him and his accomplishments. This kid is has been involved in more things than I can recall, but among a few are about 8 or 9 years of karate, middle school and high school band (drums), marched with the Mosley High School Band in the Walt Disney Thanksgiving Parade, sailing, junior deputies, boy scouts, and just recently returned from a class trip to England and Ireland where he stayed with a host family for about a week and traveled around the countryside…not to mention his trips around the US with the Mosely High School Band and MAAPS. Congrats Matthew–the Air Force will be lucky to get you!
My husband and I spent a beautiful day at the little town of Seaside yesterday. If you have never heard of it, it’s a gorgeous beachfront town where all the buildings are pretty and pastel and the beach houses all have clever names like “Watcha Dune” and “Sisters Three By the Sea”. There are beach cruiser bicycles everywhere, a plethora of art galleries and boutiques, numerous walkovers to the amazing beach and plenty of yummy restaurants like The Great Southern Cafe and the famous Bud and Alley’s. It’s a special way to spend the day walking around, checking out the Modica Market and the bookstore, Sundog Books (and the record store upstairs, Central Square Records). I spent my time taking photos of little treasures that sometimes go unnoticed in such a beautiful place where there is so much to delight the eye. Enjoy and if you have the change to visit this sweet little town, please do!
